An inconvenient question

In 2023, the European Parliament approved the Pay Transparency Act, a directive requiring employers to provide greater pay transparency. This is essential for employees to know if they are being paid fairly and to help close the gender pay gap, as men still earn 21% more than women.

Since the directive remains non-binding, it was time to emphasize that discussing salaries should no longer be taboo in 2024. For Equal Pay Day on March 17, we created a new film with directors Lionel Goldstein (Czar) for ZIJkant – Equal Pay Day, centered on a question that often sparks discomfort in the workplace: “How much do you make?”
